Hand sewing is a delightfully slow and meditative craft that is perfectly suited to the winter months.

This winter, we're collaborating with Mrs Blackwells Village Bookshop to offer a workshop to bring your boring or branded tote bags to life with patchwork.

You’ll learn to hand sew a classic 9-patch block and then attach it to a plain tote bag in your favourite colours and to suit your own personal style.

By the end of the four-hour session, you'll have a beautiful carry bag that’s strong enough for books or groceries, and skills you can apply to smarten up the rest of your reusable bag stash.

Suitable for both experienced and novice hand stitchers.
