Anyone who was a kid in the ‘70s will have this graphic emblazoned in their memory. The Phillips test screen appeared before the first programme screened each day. Designed by Danish engineer, Finn Hendil, around 1968, the pattern and colours enabled technicians to calibrate transmitters and television receivers.
Handstitched with wool and professionally framed, this one-off needlepoint tapestry makes a striking and fun addition to a retro-inspired interior.
